Introduction
About Us
Our Durga Puja was initiated by the first Governor of West Bengal Chakravarty Rajagopalachari in the year 1947. Since then, successive Durgotsav Committees have been trying to observe the Sarodotsav with sabekiana, gaiety and fervour commensurate with the profundity of the august involvement. The Raj Bhavan Sarbojanin Durgotsav Committee comprises of contemporary Officers and Staff as its Members in various capacities with the Hon’ble Governor himself being the Patron-in-Chief. Subscriptions from all the staff members of Raj Bhavan and generous donation from the Hon’ble Governor himself contribute to our modest but spirited Sarodotsav celebrations in which people from all strata are invited, including distinguished dignitaries from diverse fields.
